About Us

Founded in 2018 by Speech-Language Pathologist Ilana Klain, SLP Endoscopix began with a mission to provide timely, high-quality Speech-Language Pathology services to clients across Ontario. Since then, we have supported countless individuals in addressing their speech, language, professional communication, voice, and swallowing needs.

 

Today, our team continues to deliver comprehensive assessment and intervention services for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. We are dedicated to helping each client achieve their personal and communication goals through a compassionate, evidence-based, and collaborative approach.

 

Our mission remains simple and unwavering: to provide timely, effective, and client-centered care that empowers individuals to communicate and thrive.

Ms. Ilana Klain

Founder & Speech-Language Pathologist

​

Ms. Ilana Klain is the founder of SLP Endoscopix. She has over 15 years of experience working with both the adult and pediatric populations. She has provided assessment and intervention to individuals with speech/language disorders, cognitive-communication disorders following traumatic brain injury, dysarthria, voice and swallowing difficulties. She worked as a senior SLP and supervisor, providing guidance to her colleagues, in the clinical area of traumatic brain injury. She also works in a hospital setting, providing assessment and recommendations to patients in acute care, and acting as the professional practice leader for the SLP team.

Ms. Klain is trained in swallowing assessment and management and has received advanced training in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), as well as advanced training in voice disorders and therapies.

​

Ms. Klain is a passionate and empathetic clinician, who provides patient-centered assessment and therapy and advocates for her patients to ensure they receive the highest level of care. Ms. Klain is a registered member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and holds membership with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Ms. Jeanninne Holt

Speech-Language Pathologist (Consultant)

Ms. Jeanninne Holt obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Double Major: Human Biology and Neuroscience) from the University of Toronto before completing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to obtaining her master’s degree, Ms. Holt volunteered for over five years at various hospitals and communication disorder programs. It was through this varied experience that she developed her passion for the rehabilitation of acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Ms. Holt has worked with clients at many stages of the rehabilitation process, both in the hospital and community setting, and strongly believes in a collaborative approach to make therapy both functional and meaningful for each client.


In addition to practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist at SLP Endoscopix, Ms. Holt also provides communication and swallowing assessment and treatment at various hospitals within York Region. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).

Ms. Chloe Chefero

Speech-Language Pathologist (Consultant)

​

Ms. Chloe Chefero is a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in the areas of swallowing management, voice therapy, and speech/language therapy. Ms. Chefero earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University (in New Jersey, USA) where she played Division 1 soccer. She went on to complete her Master's of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto.

Ms. Chefero is passionate about delivering personalized, innovative care, tailoring therapy to each client’s unique goals and challenges. With a focus on building strong relationships and rapport, she supports clients throughout their therapeutic journey and is committed to making a meaningful difference in their lives.

Ms. Chefero is a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).

Ms. Emma Farrish

Speech-Language Pathologist (Consultant)

​

Ms. Emma Farrish obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree (majoring in Psychology with a minor in French) from Toronto Metropolitan University before completing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan and is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care tailored to each person’s unique goals. 

​

Prior to working in a hospital setting, Ms. Farrish provided treatment to children and adolescents with speech, language and fluency disorders in Indigenous communities in Northern Ontario. Through this work, she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of community-based, patient-centred care and meaningful collaboration when treating communication disorders. She has continued to build upon this passion in her current hospital role, where she provides comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments and treatment for individuals recovering from stroke, with a focus on promoting independence and functional communication in daily life.

 

Ms. Farrish is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where clients of all ages feel heard, understood, advocated for and empowered as they work toward meaningful improvements in their communication and overall quality of life. She is a registered member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).

Ms. Carolyn Baccin

Speech-Language Pathologist (Consultant)

Ms. Carolyn Baccin completed her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Queen’s University, and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto in 2022. Since then, she has worked in acute care and rehabilitation settings, providing assessment and treatment for adults with swallowing, speech, language, cognitive-communication, and voice disorders across a variety of populations, including stroke and head and neck cancer.


Ms. Baccin has experience in supporting adults with complex medical and neurological conditions at different stages of recovery. She is committed to delivering evidence-based and client-centred care to support functional and individualized therapy. 


Ms. Baccin is registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
